A week is a long time in running… (15/8/16)

A little bit late, but here’s this week’s breakdown:

Day Target Distance Actual Distance Time Pace
 8 August  3.2km  3.3km  18:46  5:32/km
 9 August  16.0km  16.6km + 1.7km jog later  1:24:36 + 8:22  5:06/km + 4:53/km
 11 August  5.0km (with drills)  5.2km  29:08  5:36/km
 13 August 8.0km (with fartleks)  3.8km  21:41 5:35/km

I’ve been sort of taken with starting the week with a very short trot, and pushing the longer run into the week, although this is very much a summertime sort of schedule!

I was a bit skeptical about Strava’s logging of this week’s long run. That feels way too fast, and there is one split at 4:29/km of which I feel a bit suspicious (although running the same path later was 4:36/km, so maybe…).

I ended up running with someone on the 13th, who wasn’t so keen to take a longer run. I meant to do a second round in the afternoon, but it didn’t happen. *shrug*

And now, next week’s plan:

Day Target Distance
 16 August  3.2km
 17 August  21.2km
 19 August  5.0km (with drills)
 21 August 6.4km (with fartleks)
