I had high hopes that this week would be better, but then injury struck! I sprained/strained the tendons in my left foot, and even walking resulted in grunts of “ow”.
I think that with some Ibuleve and compression and rest, it is now finally on the mend, although after a few days of limping, my shin and calf are a bit sore from being oddly used. Here’s hoping for next week!
Anyway, as I am now running (and walking, and generally living) in the land of hills, I’m going to start putting Grade Adjusted Paces up so that I can get a better sense of how I’m doing than pure pacing gives. My one solitary run of the week was thus:
